BIENVENUE AU PRINTEMPS
April 9, 2021
Bonjour Parents/Guardians,
May this message be met with much happiness and good health in your homes. The months of learning, growing and playing together at St. Francis have flown by and we are blessed with the arrival of Spring and the April Break, both of which are sure to bring refreshment to the minds and bodies of our students, staff and parents/guardians.
Thanks to the excellent efforts and dedication of our staff, the students at St. Francis continue to thrive academically, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually while maintaining the health and safety protocols that are required during a pandemic. Our focus on learning as well as our many prayer services, celebrations and spirit days have helped to keep us engaged, hopeful and happy throughout the fall and winter months. The year has been filled with complex challenges and changes for our families and staff, and I want to thank everyone for your patience, understanding, strength and support. We look forward to the day when our parents and grandparents can be present in our school and part of our community events once again.
On behalf of the staff of St. Francis school, we pray that Our Risen Saviour, Jesus Christ, showers your families with all of His blessings and that the Spring Break is filled with relaxation, rest, joy, love, peace and safety for your families.
Cordialement,
Victoria Swejda

CHRISTMAS
GREETINGS FROM ST. FRANCIS SCHOOL
December 1, 2020
Bonjour Parents and Caregivers,
Sending you warm greetings on a snowy day from St. Francis! The
first 3 months of school have passed quickly while we familiarized ourselves
with an altered physical learning environment, adjusted to new health and
safety standards and excitedly reunited with our students as they embarked on
their learning journeys. Our vibrant, faith-based learning community was evident
from the beginning as teachers focused on providing academic excellence while
addressing student health and wellness and facilitating fun events for the
school community including spirit days and seasonal celebrations. We look
forward to teaching, supporting and celebrating with our students on their learning
and faith development paths in the days ahead.
On behalf of the staff at St. Francis, Joyeux Noël et Bonne Année! We wish
you and your family a rejuvenating Christmas filled with joy and love and a New
Year that brings much happiness and good health. May God bless and keep you
safe during the Christmas holidays and in 2021.
Sincerely,
Victoria Swejda

Principal's Welcome
August 21, 2020
Hello/Bonjour Parents and Caregivers!
I hope this communication finds you well. As we move closer to start up, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as the new principal of St. Francis School. I am excited to be joining the school’s vibrant community and to meet you and your children in the coming weeks. I pray that I can serve you as well as Mme. Denise Selin who will be greatly missed.
Another unusual school year lies ahead of us and I know that you may have many questions and concerns. The Board has posted a helpful document titled NPSC School Re-Opening Plan 2020-2021: A Guide for the Safe Return to our Catholic Schools During COVID-19 which provides a framework of the plan to reopen schools to students and staff in a safe manner. The document can be accessed on the Board website by clicking this link: https://www.npsc.ca/news/covid_19/n_p_s_c_school_reopening_plan
As we quickly approach a new school year, a friendly reminder to check your Edsby accounts regularly for new information and important messages from our school. Those of you who are new to our school community and have not yet created an Edsby login are encouraged to check your email for an invitation to join. If you have not received an email with instructions about how to create your login by August 28th, please contact the school office. Edsby is a very important part of our school communication and reporting and it is imperative that all caregivers and students begin regularly logging on prior to the beginning of school.
I am truly looking forward to working together throughout the school year to inspire, nurture and celebrate your child’s learning and faith development at St. Francis School. I hope that you enjoy the remaining days of summer. Stay safe and see you soon!
Sincerely,
Victoria Swejda
