August 2024
Bonjour Parents/Guardians!
It is an exciting time in the calendar year
as we prepare to return to school on September 3rd. I hope the summer months
were enjoyable for our St. Francis students and their families and that
everyone is feeling recharged and ready to start a new school year. The caring
and dedicated staff members at St. Francis are eager to welcome our students
and be part of their educational journeys during a school year filled with
academic learning, faith development and personal growth. We are blessed and
honoured to provide our students with an education rooted in our Catholic faith.
As a little school with a big heart, we
are thrilled that the theme of this year’s Catholic Education Week, “Pilgrims of Hope,” and NPSC’s pastoral plan, based on the
theological virtue of hope for 2024-2025, focus on nurturing
open hearts of love so that together we can fan the “flame of hope” for a
bright future. We are excited to see how the theme of
hope becomes animated through the learning and actions of our students.
We value the close partnerships we have at
St. Francis with our parish and with our parents/caregivers who each play an
important role in the education of our youth through their dynamic
contributions. We encourage parents/caregivers to become involved in the school
community by volunteering or joining our Parent Council (CSAC). We thank all of our school community members for their support in
helping us to provide positive learning experiences, focused on academic
excellence and holistic growth, for our students.
We look forward to seeing our returning
students when they return to our pod and welcoming our newest dolphins as they
join the school in the coming weeks to embark on their academic journeys. À bientôt!
Yours in Catholic Education,
Victoria Swejda
